About Safe Handling of Sharps & Infectious Waste
This training is delivered by AFS through Allens Training (TOID: 90909), who are a partners of R&CA. R&CA are not to the delivery RTO of this unit of competency.
- This course is intended to provide participants with a range of knowledge, skills, generic and specific competencies to assist in performing their job role safely in areas in which sharps or infectious waste are present
- This course is applicable for people that are wanting to know how to safe handling of sharps and infectious waste
- Understand about handling sharps and infectious waste and be able to do so avoiding risk of injury or contamination
- Understand how to implement controls for potential hazards related to sharps and infectious waste, safely dispose of sharps and infectious waste and complete relevant workplace documentation
- Delivery: Face to Face/Blending or Online depending on current training restrictions
- Duration: 6-8 hours (includes online and face-to-face learning)
